In this tutorial, I discuss how to create a Glossy, 3D Text Image for a Youtube Thumbnail. The image also has a shadowy Film Noir effect with a cool gradient background. This tutorial is for both beginners and intermediate Gimp users. For those who do not know, Gimp is basically a free version of Photoshop that is capable of doing A LOT of awesome things. HOW TO INSTALL GIMP PLUGIN ON YOUR MAC!
Open a New Finder Window
Go to the Applications Section and find the “Gimp” Application
Right click GIMP, then click “Show Package Contents”
Click the “Contents” folder
Click “Resources” folder
Click “share” folder
Click “gimp” folder
Click “2.0” folder
Click “Scripts” folder
Copy and paste .scm file into this folder.
