A simple and fast way to add a customizable, professional looking vignette to a photo in Gimp 2.6, which is basically a free version of Photoshop CS5. Unlike other tutorials that discuss this same topic, my method allows for the vignette to be drawn around anything in the photo regardless of its shape, size, position, etc. This vignette technique, which uses masking, will enhance your photos without having to manipulate the original image, and can be done after prior photo editing or retouching.
