In this tutorial, I show you how to get rid of the background in your JPEG images in a few easy steps using the GIMP Image Manipulation program version 2.6. With this method, you’ll be able to keep the main foreground image and place it over any background you wish. By saving it as a GIF, you can save it for whenever you need to place it over other backgrounds in the future.
