In this GIMP tutorial, you’ll learn how to manipulate an image so that the background is black and white, and the foreground (in this case, a mom and daughter dancing) is in color (often referred to as selective coloring). This technique can be used by beginners, intermediate users, or experts. It involves using layers, a layer mask, color settings, and other photo editing tools. GIMP is basically a free version of Photoshop.
