In this DIY tutorial, I show you how to both design and print your own greeting card using the free graphic design software GIMP and your own home computer printer! This is a very easy yet thorough tutorial for beginners or arts and crafts people looking to make their own cards at home, and is even a great project for teachers to show their students.
Making your own cards is a great way to give unique gifts around the holidays (i.e. Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, Birthdays, etc.) while also saving money on store-bought cards that everyone else buys. You’re family and friends will love a card you designed yourself!
By showing you how to both design & print these holiday cards, I save you the hassle of having to figure any of this stuff out yourself.
I use GIMP 2.10.6 in this tutorial, which is currently the latest version of GIMP.
