In this tutorial, I’m going to show you how to use the Path Blur filter in Photoshop to add dynamic blurs.
The Path Blur Filter is one of the 5 Filter available in the Blur Gallery. This filter allows you to add motion blur effects to an image using paths.
What we’re going to do in this tutorial is add a dynamic blur to bring motion into the image of the soccer player.
This is, of course, a stylized effect, so consider using this technique on your poster designs, and composites.
We will start by going over the Path Blur Filter and how it works, then we will apply the effect to the photo.
