In this GIMP photo editing tutorial, I show you how to recolor your photos using a combination of background erasing methods and layer modes. With these methods, you can change the color of anything in your photos – including clothing, backgrounds, objects, etc. In this photo specifically, I change the color of a dress and the background.
I use a combination of the foreground select tool, paths tool, free select tool, and one of 4 possible layer modes for recoloring photos. The layer modes used in this tutorial include HSV Hue, HSL Color, LCh Hue, and LCh Color.
This is a great photo editing and photo manipulation tutorial for beginners!
