In this tutorial, I compare the Blend If layer option in Photoshop CC 2020 with the Color to Alpha Filter found in GIMP 2.10.18. These programs each have great tools for creating effects such as blending textures from a layer onto another layer (i.e. making a graphic or text appear as if it is painted on a wall). The difference being that GIMP is a totally free Photo Editor, while Photoshop costs a subscription fee. I show you how to work the tools in both programs, providing a direct comparison.
