Drawing and painting with Adobe Fresco & Japanese Illustrator Raou Tanaka | Adobe Creative Cloud

Japanese painter Raou Tanaka allows paint to mix, smear, and blend into abstract, beautiful shapes when working traditionally. Raou uses Adobe Fresco to digitally reproduce this intuitive way of working using the simulated oil and watercolor Live brushes on his iPad. With Adobe Fresco, Raou can express emotions and feelings using digital methods as naturally as real paint. Adobe Fresco is free for anyone – download for your iPad today and express yourself.

3 Types of Dodge and Burn in Photoshop

In this photoshop tutorial, you will learn about the types of dodge and burn. The reason for using dodge and burn in photoshop is that it is creating depth, contrast, and eye-catching photos. So there three ways of doing dodging and burning.

1. Grey Color and Blending Modes
2. photoshop Curve adjustment layers
3. Soft White and Black brush and Blending Modes

The first method is widespread to create dodge and burn. It creates using layer fill with 50% grey. Set its blending mode to overlay. Apply dodge and burn tool on it. 2nd method is very professional and powerful to create a realistic and smooth result. Just by taking two curve adjustment layers. Invert the mask of both adjustment layers by pressing ctrl+i and apply soft white brush on the mask. 3rd method is creating a simple empty layer and set its blending mode to soft light and use a white and black brush on an empty layer for dodging and burning respectively.
