In this GIMP basics tutorial, I show you how to save selections or selection areas in GIMP 2.10. I also show you how to export your selections from one composition and import selections to another image or composition. This is useful when drawing complicated selections – or any selections for that matter – and you want to preserve or save the selections for later use (or just make sure you don’t lost the selection).
I show you two methods for accomplishing this task, one using the Channels dialogue and the other using the Paths dialogue.
