Adobe Stock Film Fest 2020 Premiere | Adobe Creative Cloud

While we continue to adapt to a world facing a number of challenges, one thing that remains the same is the power of creativity. To showcase this, we asked ten talented filmmakers from around the world to produce a film in under five days with unlimited access to Adobe Stock footage, audio from Epidemic Sound, and Premiere Pro for the first-ever Adobe Stock Film Festival. The result is a testament to what a creative mind can do and the evolution of their work. Join our host Jason Levine, the Principal Worldwide Evangelist for Adobe, as we celebrate their craft.

How to Create That “Famous” Bokeh Effect in GIMP

In this GIMP tutorial, I show you how to create an EXTREMELY realistic “famous” bokeh effect seen on celebrity Instagram accounts across the world! This effect essentially mimics the lens blur or focus blur created by your camera and lens (typically a wider lens will produce a shallow “depth-of-field” – which produces the bokeh effect). I also use the free G’MIC plugin to generate additional bokeh for those of you who want to add more atmosphere to your photo (i.e. add more lights or more depth to your image).

This is a great photo manipulation tutorial for beginners! GIMP is a free alternative to Photoshop and can do truly amazing things for photo editing and manipulation.
