How to Cut Out Text in Inkscape 1.0 (Inkscape Basics)

In this Inkscape 1.0 tutorial, I show you how to cut out text from a shape using an easy, beginner-friendly method. To my knowledge this is currently the only working method for cutting text out of a shape in Inkscape for 2020.

How to Do a Photoshop Elements Torn Paper Effect in Expert Mode

In this video tutorial I show you how to do a Torn Paper Effect using Photoshop Elements Expert Mode. This project requires 3 photos, the Portrait, a Landscape photo, and a Torn Paper image. You can download all of these images used in this Torn Paper project from my website, the link is below.

00:32 Open Original Portrait Photo
00:44 Open the Torn Paper image
00:55 Rotate the Torn Paper image to horizontal
01:07 Setting Photoshop Elements Floating Windows option
01:17 Dragging the Torn Paper image into working file
01:28 Resize and position Torn Paper image
01:57 Select the transparent area at top and fill white on new layer
02:48 Doing the same steps for the bottom of the image
03:45 Open the Landscape Photo and drag into working file
04:14 Selecting the transparent area between the two white shapes
04:32 Make a Layer Mask on the Landscape and Invert the Mask
04:59 Show the Portrait Layer, show and position White shape layers
05:28 Distort the White Shapes to give the Torn Paper edge effect
07:18 Add Texture to the White shapes
07:56 Distress the Edge using a Rough paint brush on Layer Mask
10:14 Add Shadowing to Paper Edge
