One of the most useful ores that was introduced in the Nether Update is Ancient Debris which is needed to make Netherite which is used to craft Netherite Armor, Tools, and Weapons. Having Netherite Armor and a Netherite Sword is one of the first things you should work on to survive in the Nether.
