Create Realistic Book Cover Mockups in Photoshop
http://youtu.be/IdH0VR8tesE
In this video, you’re going to learn exactly how to create realistic book cover mockups in Photoshop!
Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll learn in this Photoshop Tutorial:
⚫ Perspective Crop Tool: To create a realistic book cover mockup you need to match the aspect ratio of the real book cover when you create your template. Unfortunately, this is not as easy as it sounds. You will need to get creative and use an unlikely tool to achieve this. With the Perspective Crop tool, you’ll be able to create a forward-facing book cover without the perspective that will serve as the Smart Object template.
⚫ Smart Objects: For the book template to work properly you will need to create a container that can be edited any way that you like. Smart Objects are the perfect solution for this problem; they allow you to apply editable adjustments, distortions, filters, and transformations.
⚫ New Warp Too: To match your template to the real book cover you will need total control of your transformations. With the new Warp Tool, you will be able to transform any layer with a lot of precision.
⚫ Adjustments: With any composite that you make, you will need to fine-tune color and brightness. The Adjustment menu in photoshop gives you the tools that you need to control the color and tone in any what that you need. With Smart Objects, these adjustments are all editable!
