Simple Trick for More Realistic Texture Patterns in GIMP

One of GIMP’s biggest secrets is that you can create seamless, realistic patterns using the default patterns that come with the program. Of course, when using these patterns with the bucket fill tool they look horrible – showing very noticeable tile seams and looking nothing like what they’re supposed to based on the pattern names. However, there’s a hidden filter that blends your patterns and fills in your composition or selection areas, making your seamless texture patterns look far more convincing!
