GIMP 2.10.24 ist größtenteils eine Bugfix-Version, die wiederum hauptsächlich Verbesserungen der Dateiformatunterstützung enthält.
Release-Highlights:
• Punktfang außerhalb der Leinwand
• Unterstützung von GeoTIFF-Metadaten (Georeferenzierungsinformationen, die in eine TIFF- Datei eingebettet sind, die von Kartenherstellern verwendet wird)
• Viele Verbesserungen im Metadaten-Viewer und -Editor
• Viele Dateiformate werden verbessert: HEIF , PSP , TIFF , JPEG , PNG , PDF , DDS , BMP , PSD
• Neue Operation „ Negative Darkroom “ zur Simulation von Vergrößerungsdrucken aus Scans von fotografischen Negativen.
• Der RAW- Bildimport verarbeitet jetzt Darktable 3.6 und höher
• Neue Kabyle Übersetzung

A bug fix release during a pandemic? It’s either really fitting or the GIMP team has simply run out of motivation after being cooped up in their homes for a year. In this GIMP 2.10.24 first look, I cover what’s new in this latest release version of GIMP (which ended the longest drought between stable release versions since GIMP 2.10’s initial release – 175 days).

Improvements have been made to guide, grid, and path snapping off-canvas, as well as the introduction of the “Negative Darkroom” GEGL operation, plus numerous improvements to metadata, file formats (including RAW files and PDFs), and more.
