Doodle Therapy with Alice Lee and Shirley Wu – 1 of 2

Doodle Therapy is a space for us to come together, relax, and simply draw. As an interactive drawing show, we’ll go through drawing exercises together and viewers will also be able to give input on what we doodle! Our guest this week is Shirley Wu, data viz artist and co-author of the forthcoming book, “Data Sketches.” Shirley will walk us through illustrating a data visualization, which will encompass infographic design, data, and art, in one! You’re invited to create your own data viz, whether using your personal data (eg. visualizing the meals you ate this week, how you spent your day, etc), or using the special data set that Shirley has prepared. They say that “Data is beautiful” — and today, we’ll explore that!

You can access Shirley’s data set (and the tool that she has custom-made for us here at Doodle Therapy!) here: https://observablehq.com/d/d2831e277761a028
