How to Use the Pen Tool in Photoshop
The pen tool is one of the most powerful tools in Photoshop for creating precise and accurate selections and paths. With the pen tool, you can create shapes, cut out objects, and make intricate selections with ease.
To use the pen tool, select it from the toolbar and begin by clicking on the canvas to create an anchor point. As you click and drag, you can create curves and angles to form the shape you want. To complete the shape, simply click on the first anchor point, and a path will be created.
The pen tool can also be used to create selections. To do this, select the pen tool and create a path around the object you want to select. Once the path is complete, right-click and select “Make Selection.” This will create a selection based on the path you’ve created.
The pen tool also has various options for adjusting the path, including converting points from curves to angles, adding or removing anchor points, and adjusting the curvature of existing points.

According to GIMP’s 2022 annual report, about 84% of developer commits are being made towards GIMP 3.0 – which means MOST work being done on GIMP is being done on GIMP 3.0. In my opinion, GIMP’s momentum is currently building and will reach peak levels with the release of the long anticipated GIMP 3.0.
