In this video, I take a look at whether or not GIMP 3.0 is expected to break all the legacy plugins built for earlier versions of GIMP (including GIMP 2.10 or older).
Like in a lot of other free and open source projects, plugins are what make GIMP more usable and help the plugin compete with premium software like Adobe Photoshop. However, there has been concern amongst GIMP users that the release of GIMP 3.0 will break all existing plugins for GIMP. Some popular plugins include the Resynthesizer plugin, darktable, RAWTherapee, BIMP, G’MIC, and more.
