In this tutorial, I show you how to design your own Youtube Video Thumbnail using the open source graphic design software GIMP version 2.6. I use a combination of techniques, including 3D Test, Drop Shadows, Gradients, and Reflective looking surfaces. This can be done by both beginners and more experienced GIMP users!
HOW TO INSTALL GIMP PLUGIN ON YOUR MAC!
Open a New Finder Window
Go to the Applications Section and find the “Gimp” Application
Right click GIMP, then click “Show Package Contents”
Click the “Contents” folder
Click “Resources” folder
Click “share” folder
Click “gimp” folder
Click “2.0” folder
Click “Scripts” folder
Copy and paste .scm file into this folder.
