Add Light or Shine to Anything in GIMP

In this GIMP 2.10 tutorial, I show you how to easily and quickly add shine or light to objects in your photos. This is a great photo manipulation technique for doing things such as making jewelry shine or sparkle, and making it appear as if lamps/lanterns/lights are turned on in a photo if they are turned off.

There are two techniques covered in this tutorial – one using the Dodge/Burn tool and the other using the Dodge layer mode. This tutorial is easy enough for beginners.
