Inkscape 1.1’s Improved Docking Dialog Panels | DMD Clips

http://youtu.be/LGvTKxdLWg4

Inkscape 1.1 now allows you to customize your dialogs by dragging them to either side of your canvas or stacking them. They have also improved the dialogs by sorting them into tabs rather than having each new dialog on its own independent row. This is definitely a step in the right direction for Inkscape, though it still requires some perfecting.

Inkscape’s New Non-destructive Boolean Operation Live Path Effect | DMD Clips

http://youtu.be/rRWiJsmib4Q

Inkscape 1.1 introduces a new Boolean Operation live path effect that allows you to build a shape from multiple shapes or paths. This new LPE feature is non-destructive, meaning you can go back at any time and remove the effect to restore the original shapes or paths. Though this isn’t quite as intuitive or powerful as Adobe Illustrator’s Shape Builder tool, it does allow some of the same functionality in terms of combining or subtracting shapes using Boolean Operations.

Inkscape 1.1 Command Palette Feature Makes Finding Things Easy | DMD Clips

http://youtu.be/x4SdLhhOUhA

Yet another new feature introduced in Inkscape 1.1 is the Command Palette feature, which allows you to search for pretty much any feature inside of Inkscape. Like GIMP’s Search Actions feature, which I cover in a dedicated tutorial on my channel, you can quickly bring up the Command Palette and type in whatever you are looking for within the Inkscape program. Then you can click on that item to run the command, or in other words to perform an action or operation on your shape, layer, object, path, etc. (depending on what you have selected or on your composition).
